Hi! My name is Rósalind Ragnarsdóttir, but most just call me Rósý (some people even think that is my name). I was born 1951 and grew up in Reykjavik. I moved with my husband and our 3 children to a small town here in Iceland, called Hvollsvöllur to give our children the chance of knowing what it is to grow up in a peaceful small town. There we owned and operated a small bed and breakfast for few years. Eventually, we decided to quit the business. I started to work as an arts and crafts guide for a nursing home in Hvollsvellur. I totally love arts and crafts, but unfortunately, the salary wasn´t good so I decided to learn practical nursing when I was 55 years old and today I work as such at the same nursing home. Now my children have left the nest and I have reduced my work hours. I don´t go anywhere without my knitting stuff. I knit in front of the TV, at the beach, while flying, at the doctors, in meetings and in the car while my husband drives (by the way, the distance between Hvolsvöll and Reykjavik is about one sleeve).
